How to dress your Bay windows with Shutters

We have a range of options for turning your house into a home with our amazing products. From made to measure shutters, to bespoke blinds, our luxury window coverings are made for every home.

We have many installation styles of shutters for Bay windows but some of the most popular include:

Cafe-Style: Also called Half-Height, fit to your window frame but only cover half of the window itself. This gives you great options for covering your privacy but letting the light come in the top of the window. Bay windows are normally situated in living areas and so this layout of shutters on these windows would work perfectly, especially if you had your sitting area situated underneath, keeping it nice and private.

Full Height Shutters – This type of window shutter covers the whole of your frame from top to bottom and are fitted as whole panels. This doesn’t stop you from opening certain louvres at a time, it just means if you wanted to completely open the shutter doors, they would open as one panel. You would have complete control over the light and privacy coming.

Completely open up a room with Full Height shutters

Tier-On-Tier Shutters: These shutters work similarly to Full Height shutters but are two separate shutters, one on top of the other. This means they would be accessible individually and you can choose to open and close one shutter at a time. They are almost a mixture between full and half-height with what you can achieve with them.

These are just a few of the many styles we off but are definitely the most popular for bay windows, due to how much control you can have with your privacy and light. Of course, you also have a range of choices of materials, colours and stains for your shutters also.

This would help you get your perfect match to your living space and your beautifully updated bay windows would complete the room. Bay Windows are normally the biggest and main windows in a house and is most likely where you would feel air coming in the most during certain seasons. Unfortunately, it’s also where heat is likely to escape your home the most.

This is why we suggest our plantation shutters for all types of homes as they are stunning to look at and they are also made from solid wood and robust materials. This adds an extra layer to your windows, and with the louvres closed, create a barrier to prevent heat escaping in the winter months, saving you energy and keeping you warm.

Blinds for Bay Windows

So many of our blind styles can look amazing on bay windows and because our experts make them as made to measure products, you can have them designed just how want for your windows. Whether you fancy roman blinds on your bay windows, manual or motorised roller blinds or even Venetian blinds, we have all the options for you!

Roller Blinds: With perfect measurements and installations, you can have one of our many amazing roller blind colours or patterns in your bay windows in no time. These are one of our few styles that offer a motorised option, that can be controlled from your phone, home Bluetooth device (echo or google home) or remote control. This would add a very modern touch to your home and give you easier access over your light and privacy from the comfort of your sofa!

See our amazing full range of patterns, colours and materials – of which we have opaque and sheer, over on our website. We even have a whole range of Disney blinds which would be great for movie rooms and bedrooms, if that’s where the bay windows were located!

Bay Window Vertical Blinds: Vertical blinds look best when installed onto bigger window areas like office windows or bay windows for example. They have been a very popular choice of blind for many years due to their long-lasting materials, quick and easy adjustable style and can completely open up a room with daylight with a quick movement. This style of blind looks great for windows and doors, just like a few of our shutter styles.

Venetian Blinds: Our Venetian range comes in one of 3 materials: Wood, Faux Wood or Aluminium. The blinds themself, have great light and privacy control due to their adjustable horizontal slats which can be controlled with a wand attached and even raised and lowered using a cord. This means you can raise the whole blind up to give you full access to the window behind, or just simply open and close the slats to your preference.

They offer a great amount of light and this is helped by the variety of paints and stains. You can choose from traditional wood stains or have them painted white, to suit a more modern home and interior. See our website page for a full look at the shades we offer.
