Expanding our Shutters In Kent

We now supply our Blinds and Shutters in Kent, London, Sussex and Surrey which is beginning to expand due to our newest showroom in Polhill Garden Centre based in Sevenoaks. In this week’s blog, we wanted to discuss one of the home transformations we have been able to make with our interior window shutters.

We have recently been able to film and create content from some of our installations in Kent and London homes. At The Shutter Studio, we want to use these opportunities not only to showcase the various products we install but the different properties we get to work in, so our potential customers can see that shutters really do work in every style of home and window.

Bay Window Shutters In Medway

In the last year, we have increased our service area further into Kent and have recently installed some bespoke Bay front window shutters in a Medway home, which our marketing team were able to film. This was a unique experience and something our team doesn’t get the opportunity to do often, therefore we wanted to showcase the beautiful work our team did transforming this home with our shutters.

This modern, kent home belongs to a family friend of one of our team members here at The Shutter Studio and they became intrigued about our products after seeing them advertised through our social pages and website and decided to choose some custom interior shutters for themselves. The couple previously had beautiful fabric curtains in the living room and bedroom windows, with an additional roller blind in the bedroom but decided that they wanted a bit of extra privacy and noise reduction.

Time for a Change:

The house itself sits on the roadside, meaning pedestrians walking by can quite easily see into the front windows. The two-story home is also quite tall and with homes directly opposite, the bedroom can be easily seen during the day if the blinds were open for light purposes. This took away the couple’s privacy completely and made the home feel quite unsafe and open.

Consultation:

After a quick and easy measure booking, a member of our team carried out a home consultation, showing the family sample products and talked them through the best products that would suit both of their bay windows and preferences. They decided on White, Monterey Pine, Full-Height Shutters with a Mid-Rail due to the natural split in the windows. Due to the excess plastic (seen in the attached images) on the window frames, the shutters were designed to sit just over the windows themselves and not over the wasted plastic as this not only reduced the cost but the amount of material needed for the bespoke products.

After a quote was agreed upon, their order was placed and the couple then had to await the delivery of their bespoke shutters.

Installation Day and The Final Look

It was finally installation day and our marketing and installation team were excited to see another home transformation come together. On arrival, the couple was asked to clear the window areas if they were able to, this included any curtains that may have been going back up after installation.

This job was a fairly simple installation due to the front two bay windows being identical (but we know this isn’t always the case) and so the custom shutters went in perfectly. The customers were amazed at the instant change to their bedroom and living room windows and were so pleased with how much more light and privacy control they had. The rooms themselves looked much bigger and brighter and this is one of the main benefits of choosing white as your colour choice.
