The Shutter Studio is proud to be celebrating its 9th year of trading as a London shutter company, supplying and installing plantation shutters to some of London’s finest homes. Our managing director had some words he wanted to get across to say thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey so far:
As Managing Director of The Shutter Studio, I have been reflecting over our colourful journey and the fantastic shutter projects that we have been fortunate enough to be involved in.
From our humble beginnings as just a father and son team, we have dedicated ourselves to perfecting Plantation shutters, from initial shutter design to shutter materials, right through to installation, we aimed to provide the best interior shutters money could buy.
Becoming a leading London Shutter Company
Looking back to our fledgeling years, I have very fond memories of both myself and father carrying out all the measuring and installations of all different style shutters ourselves. Our pride and determination to be the best local shutter company was always present right from the beginning.
This work ethic then paved the way for our first employees, Anto and Matt, to join the company, who are now celebrating their 9th year with The Shutter Studio. I realised there wasn’t a company providing a measure supply shutter service locally, or anybody focusing on shutters near me.
The Shutter Studio bought our first shutter showroom, located in the London borough of Croydon. The Showroom made it much easier for customers to see where to buy shutters and gave us a base to work from and develop the business even further.
In 2014, as a London shutter company, we then opened our Beckenham showroom, which has great displays of window shutters, including tier on tier shutters, full height shutters, cafe shutters and all varieties of shutters and blinds.
Working as a tight, professional team that our customers would highly recommend, we are delighted to have become one of London’s most recognised and trusted privately-owned shutter companies.
I regularly monitor our company reviews and love seeing the great comments about how much our customers enjoy their shutters. I would like to say thank you to all our customers that have been kind enough to leave such lovely reviews about their shutters and the high-quality service we have provided.
Following another successful year of trading in shutters, we are pleased to announce that we are growing the team once again. The new growth will help us accommodate shutter enquires in the south London suburbs of; Dulwich, Clapham, Battersea, Wimbledon and Morden with greater ease.
Our team will now be able to assist in arranging a shutter survey within 4 days of making an enquiry with The Shutter Studio. Whether it be a living room bay window or simple bathroom shutter offer a range of shutter for all.
Other exciting changes include our flagship 5000sq ft manufacture and distribution facility will be open to the Public from May. Located in Wrotham, Kent, we will be able to offer better and faster shutter services to Sevenoaks and its neighbouring towns.
In 2019 we continued to focus on being the best local shutter company and channelled resources on providing interior shutters that are built to last. We decided to step away from budget-focused, craftwood MDF shutters which were causing lots of issues due to moisture and the general construction of craftwood MDF shutters. Instead, we listened to our London shutter company reviews and regained focus on being the best local shutter company. We have since developed a better range of wooden shutters, which provides more stable, environmentally friendly and better-built shutter solutions for the future.
