White Ash Shutters
White Ash is one of our most recent additions to our shutter materials, replacing the white teak window shutters we once had in our collection. This material also has one of the most unique finishes to our shutter range.
The timber provides a stunning shutter with its beautiful grain design, visible even with a paint finish on top. It has a slightly different look to our regular white shutters due to the grain and therefore is one of our most unique designs.
This adds a bit of character and depth to the standard white shutters but is still able to match many different home interiors.
The material itself is so versatile, it’s even used for sporting goods such as baseball bats but is also great for carving furniture and of course, our shutters. The flexible, lightweight material makes it easy to shape and this means it’s perfect for creating our shaped shutter range.
A lot of customers with young children choose white ash as their white internal window shutter choice when they have young children. This is due to them being one of the strongest and most reliable shutter materials and are not easily damaged by knocks and scrapes.
This also makes them perfect for the panels that are likely to be opened regularly such as the tier on tier style or solid shutters. The finish of this material would work in modern and period properties. These can also be customised with many different shutter features to suit your home perfectly.
The White ash wooden shutter blinds are only available with a 64 and 76mm louvre size. These are the most popular choices amongst our customers due to them providing a perfect balance of light and privacy.
Need a Blind alternative?
Wooden window blinds, especially Venetians, are a perfect alternative to our wooden shutters. They have horizontal slats, just the same as shutters and so offer similar light and privacy control, with their easy to use adjustable wand and cords.
Venetians come in three materials; wood, faux wood and aluminium in which can be designed in many paints and stains. To find an identical look to white shutters, you can design white Venetians in either wood or faux wood to give a similar finish.
Just the same as shutters, Venetians work in many rooms in the house and on various styles and sizes of windows. From small kitchen spaces to large conservatory windows and doors, these beautiful dressings can be made to measure for any space and be the ideal finish to any commercial or domestic property.
