How do I install plantation shutters?
Our Plantation shutters are easy to install when completed by one of our carpentry experts. All our plantation shutters come with a complete frame. You start by putting this frame together which is full labelled for ease. You then simply level and plumb the frame into position, then fix it to secure.
The framework is ready fitted with all hinges and magnets in place, you simply introduce the shutter panels by aligning the hinge on the panel to the hinge on the frame, then drop a hinge pin into position. Once the plantation shutters are all in the frame, simply adjust the panels up or down to ensure everything is aligning, securing with a seal that takes around 48 hours to completely set in place, and then you are finished. We offer a fitting service with every job, saving our customers the trouble in having to fit them themselves but we can give you the advice you need if you are happy to do it yourself!
