The most important component of a shutter is its louvres, or slats. It is the louvres that give you full control over light and privacy, as you adjust them throughout the day. We offer four sizes – the smallest size means more slats will need to be used, while the biggest size will require fewer louvres and will let in the most light.
64mm
Learn more
The 64mm louvre provides slightly more privacy than light. The 64mm is available across all shutter materials and tilt options.
76mm
Learn more
The 76mm louvre is the most popular size offering a balance of light and privacy when open, tilted or fully closed.
89mm
Learn more
These larger slats offer maximum light even when tilted at an angle. They are perfect for covering much larger areas such as patio doors and floor to ceiling windows.
A tilt system is how the louvres are operated. We offer four tilt systems with options for the operating rod to be visible or hidden for a sleeker finish. All our tilt systems can be used with any shutter style and material.
Centered
Learn more
Centre tilt rods sit in the middle of the shutter panel connected to each louvre. All slats are adjusted simultaneously by moving the tilt rod.
Offset
Learn more
An offset tilt rod offers the same functionality of the centre tilt rod but instead the rod can be placed either on the opening side or hinge side of the shutter panel.
Easy
Learn more
Our most popular option allows the louvres to be operated in sync by hand. A gear system is built inside the panel linking all of the louvres together providing a modern and sleek finish.
Hidden
Learn more
A hidden tilt rod offers the same appearance as the easy tilt rods, but the louvres are held together by a white bar on the back of the panel.
A small but significant detail are the hinges which add the final touch to your shutters. Our range of wooden shutters come with a white hinge as standard, however we offer a variety of shutter finishes to match the hardware in your room. Choose from our eight hinge colours to complement your shutters.
We also have a range of hidden hinges that are simply exquisite, manufactured so the hinge is hidden between the shutter panel and framework, leaving a sleek and clean finish.
